I just put the Nikon D5100 in my cart and clicked buy! Amazon has a deal right now on combos with Nikon lenses. I got the D5100 with the kit lens, plus the 55-300 VR lens. Hopefully, I will have a wide range of capturing options considering I'll have 2 lenses from the get go! This combination is just so much cheaper than the D7000 kit + telephoto combo, I had to go with it. Plus I did compare the 2 cameras at Best Buy, I liked the fact that my choice was lighter and smaller, plus the swivel screen was a nice addition imo. I sold my camera in an effort to buy a shiny new DSLR. I'm looking at the Nikon d5100 and the Nikon d7000.  I just can't decide if I want to save long enough for the mostly superior d7000 or not , as of yet. Edit --- Doing my best to wait for the d7000!

I posted a bunch of pictures today from a weekend getaway as sort of a B-day present to myself. Anyway, I think all new shots from here on will be taken in widescreen format.
